Official statement from Chris:
"Can you explain to everyone that it was just taking up too much time of my summer. I realized that I spend too much on the internet and I am missing out on a lot of things because of it. I just needed to cut myself clean. I thought if I did that with facebook things would be fine, but I just ended up spending more time on RU. Plus, my sleeping habits are really messed up cause I end up staying up till 3 AM every night online. So hopefully this will help me sort things out. And I won't even not show up on RU - just not over the summer. I need to go out and live life. It's nothing personal."

I respect Chris a lot, and I'll always respect someone's decision to have a little less internet in their lives. That's part of the reason I went MIA too (well, also because I was away from home for a month). Maybe he'll come back when he can find a fair balance, maybe he won't, but he contributed a lot to RU and will always have a place here. Good luck to you, brother!

I don't understand why he'd leave, but indeed, you will be missed, Chris. I think the OSC should continue in his honor ... As for Battle of the Bands, I think that should be left alone. It's like after Tolkien died and his son tried to finish the LOTR maps. BotB should be left u touched in my opinion because it was his work. The OSC in the other hand I think should continue. |
