i know you've been getting a little snippety about the whole hunger games/twilight comparison, but they've literally market the movie directly at the twilight audience. and you can't really blame the,, as horrible as the movies and books are, the franchise has made a fraking fortune. why not piggy back off that, even if fans of the series, who know the hunger games actually has a shred of quality about it, aren't happy about it. you know they're gonna give the whole love triangle deal so much attention it becomes border line obnoxious/unbearable. we'll have team peeta and gale merchandise by the time the second one comes out and we'll all be very very disappointed. from the trailer/clips, the movie hasn't really captured my imagination yet. i think it has a lot to do with the fact a good deal of the violence which made the book so enthralling and tragic is gonna be severely toned down to get the pg rating and whatnot, key moments aren't gonna have the same impact they should have and it's gonna weaken the story.
or maybe i'll be pleasantly surprise and it'll be badass, who knows.
