Why did you decide to cap off the series at two seasons? Any chance we'll see an Outbreak spinoff - a movie perhaps?

Thank you Nick! ;D My love for the zombie genre in general - its cliches, its over-the-top violence, the seemingly-superhuman heroes, and the convenient swarms of zombies - inspired me to write Outbreak. It really is my love letter to one of my favorite subgenres of horror.

Well, originally, Outbreak was going to be a one-season affair. After Vegas, it was going to end. The original ending was the survivors escaping Las Vegas and being assured that the outbreak in Las Vegas was only in Vegas and nowhere else, and "the Project" never existed in that original 'draft' of the ending and it's revealed that the virus was a natural pathogen and not the work of experiments. When I changed this, I decided to carry on with a second season that would lead to the closure of everything and dive deep into the mythologies of the show. It just feels natural to end it here. However, there's a lot of things to explore in this universe, that haven't yet been in Outbreak itself, so expanding on the universe is something I've been looking into. #cryptic
