What is your inspiration behind developing this intriguing character Jeremy Pulse?
Also I'm always interested in how everyone here got interested in writing. How did you?

I read all the episodes of the original Pulse series, what changes can I expect for the reboot?
Why did you decide to do a reboot instead of continue with the series?

What is your inspiration behind developing this intriguing character Jeremy Pulse? There's really no one character or person I've really based Pulse on per se, but during the time I was coming up with an idea for a new show post-Cop Out I was watching a lot of Supernatural. I wanted to do a show with a similar premise, but I didn't want a Dean or Sam Winchester character, and I didn't want a Mulder or Scully type character either. Those had already been done in the same type of setting, and thought it'd be boring and pointless to rehash the same style of character. I started to form this idea of someone who really used knowledge to bring down baddies as apposed to brute force or the aide of being in a Government agency. So at the end of the day, Jeremy is the exact character I wanted in the show. He's got aspects of an average Joe, the youth of Sam and Dean, the intelligence of Mulder and Scully. That's when I thought of how boring that would be though, to have someone so perfect and amazing at his job. He needed faults. That's all where the other-Jeremy idea came from. Originally he was going to have a split-personality disorder, but I figured since it was already in a supernatural setting, it would be much more interesting to experiment with another way of bringing all of Jeremy's faults out. That's yet to be fully explained and elaborated on in the show, though Also I'm always interested in how everyone here got interested in writing. How did you?
I've been interested in writing prose since I read Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy back in fourth grade, so once I got into the whole moviemaking thing and found the site, it felt like a natural step to move into creative writing. Thanks for the questions!

I read all the episodes of the original Pulse series, what changes can I expect for the reboot?I think from Episode 4 on, especially, you can expect a much more well-thought out, character-driven story that will be a little more consistent as far as characters and story quality. I've also really started working on making each case a lot more of a challenge for Pulse to solve, as apposed to a throwaway case that's just there to have Pulse be a smart-ass Why did you decide to do a reboot instead of continue with the series?I really realized once I re-read through the first iteration of the series that I had no idea where I was going and I was just throwing in mysterious things to raise intrigue, and realized I had boxed myself into a storyline I REALLY didn't know where to go with. I also figured going any further would be unfair to the people reading it. So after trying for months to come up with a way to continue the story, I drafted out an idea for another season of the show, unrelated to a lot of the mythos of the original series, but with the same two principal characters (Pulse and Harmon), in order to really give a good effort for the readers. Again, thanks for the questions!

Pulse has always intrigued me as a concept. Anything inspired you or was it something that just popped in your mind one day?
How far in advance have you planned the show? How long do you think Pulse will run?
Any cool cameos for the show in the near future?

Pulse has always intrigued me as a concept. Anything inspired you or was it something that just popped in your mind one day?Well, the whole basis for Pulse initially was from wanting to do a show that was an homage to Supernatural and The X-Files, two of my favorite shows with VERY similar formulas. From there, it was really just the task of developing it into something that was it's own thing and not JUST an homage. How far in advance have you planned the show? How long do you think Pulse will run?Well, with this second iteration of the show, I've REALLY tried to plan ahead, something I failed to do with the first iteration. If all goes to plan and I get to use everything I WANT to do, it could, in theory, run for as long as nine seasons, with three separate three-season arcs. Any cool cameos for the show in the near future? I have a few planned am not at liberty to really say who at the moment though.
