SEASON 1 – A TALE OF TWO VOLUMES
The first season, and second volume, of Real Fantasy is quickly coming to a wrap now. A fantastical story of evil sorcerers and brave heroes, we’ve already seen our group of fated protagonists save the world and face their fair share of love, heartache, strife and death. In the conclusion of the first volume – The Book of Prophecy – Puck, Anabella, Jake, Delilah, Ridderick and James, each faced their joint destiny head on and fulfilled the mysterious prophecy told to them by the Dragon Auriga.
However, when one chapter ends, a new one usually begins, and The Book of Dragons opened to its first pages to tell a new story in the wake of The Sorcerer’s fall. As our heroes deal with new threats, new loves and new challenges, they must also move on from the tragedy of the last volume.
A cult has surfaced – the Circle of Esh’gror – with a simple goal: to capture all those who have received a Dragon Brand and sacrifice them, in order to awaken a mighty Dragon Lord from his deep slumber. Whilst this spells trouble for Anabella, who is branded, Ridderick has already suffered a loss at the hands of the Circle, and Jake has found himself drawn into the cult’s dark world. Now the question remains: just where do the Dragon Brands come from, what does they mean, and what will happen if they are all destroyed?
In the second half of The Book of Dragons, and the concluding quarter of season 1, all these questions will be answered and more. Will Jake beat his addiction to Potions? Will Ridderick get his revenge on the Circle? Why is there a future version of Anabella walking around and will Puck ever accept his destiny as a hero?
SEASON 2 – THE THIRD VOLUME
Season 2 will be made up of just one volume known as The Book of Aether. The season will explore the mysterious energy source that is Aether, uncovering its origins, its properties and its secrets. The discovery of The Sorcerer’s active rift below Race Rock Lighthouse by the authorities will be the catalyst for the events of this season, including the rise of an energy company determined to make use of Aether in ways it wasn’t ever meant to be used.
In the wake of the Season 1 finale, each character will embark on their own personal stories at the start of Season 2. Without giving too much away, Puck will return to his roots as an adventurer and set out on a fantastical journey typical of role-playing games, where he will make interesting discoveries about the world he lives on and meet new companions along the way. As for Jake, the dark days will be put behind him, as he graduates high school and looks towards a promising career in the field of Aether.
With regards to new characters, Cassandra will become a main character, Jake will find love and, as previously mentioned, Puck will meet an interesting group of new faces. Most interestingly, this season will introduce a character who has managed to harness Aether in an unusual way that allows him to declare himself a “superhero” to the world at large.
In terms of mysteries and unanswered questions, this season will delve into the history of Sorcerers, answer questions about Aether you never knew you had, and explore more about everyone’s favourite magical pet, Nugs. There’s more than meets the eye when it comes to that mischievous creature.
