Righteo. I'm gonna say it....
MOVE REELS.
...
...
...
MR in it's glory day was a wonderful wonderful place. It brimmed with members and activity. We had film club, weird semi porn takes on Alice In Wonderland, a lot of filmed content (not all Indy), Casa, Captain Scarlet and glorious scripts!
But MR died.
Thing is , Movie reels is two years older than this site, and I know that might sound like nothing, but internet years are like dog years. And the problem was it died because it's members left it. They grew up. They got lives. Some didn't have time to write. Blaggers (woe, Blaggers </3) is still touring America. It's been like two years man! Come home
Now, I honestly love this site. You've all accepted me in and you're all friends as far as I'm concerned. I learn from you, I love you, blah blah blah.
But this site will suffer the same fate as MR. Dan Hoger has a family now and he barely has time for this site. I know for a fact if I had a high paid job which kept me from writing then I'd never be here.
What are you guys gonna do when you graduate and your live begins?
I know it sounds silly but a site is always gonna need fresh blood.
Who the hell is Zombierises? Where is Blake? There's two gaps to be filled already.
Right, now the new people that have popped up this year-- Connor, Chanelle :-|. They aren't writers. They popped up because of Xat, no other reason.
Assner was an old member who hadn't been here in a few years.
We really do need fresh blood and more importantly, we need to welcome them. I honestly didn't want to stick around here when I first joined, but I stuck it out cause I knew it'd be worth it in the end.
So for the sake of this site surviving beyond it's current "oldies", we need new peoples. Young peoples who might even learn from us. You feel me, homez?
Can we be found on a google search? I don't think we can... I mean, if you search-- "writers forum". Just a thought...
Also---
This site runs on a give and receive basis. On this note we can't have new members popping up and posting shows instantly. It could drown the site. I know it's an unpopular opinion, but I think we need some sort of restriction. Say, new members can only post shows after reviewing at least one script?
