AN INTRODUCTION---
Ok, this is a semi offical announcement of my show after Inferno. Everything is temporary as of right now, including the horrendous poster.
I've only cast two of the male leads for now, but more to come once I've finished Inferno. I shall move full steam ahead with this show then.
I'm excited for this one.
HISTORY---
Red&Black dates back to 2009. Having finished making the original THE LONG COATS, I looked at what to do next. I actually shot about five scenes (25 mins all together) of Red&Black back in the day... You'll never, ever see that footage :-|
ANYWAYS! Red&Black was fucking hard to write and hard to film. I wasn't smart enough for my own idea. I wasn't ready as a writer. So I shelved it. I recall telling my current girlfriend (the bitch) about the idea as we walked home from hers to mine this one time. The entire time she was silent (this is about a 35 min walk). I thought she'd gotten bored and had stopped listening (perhaps daydreaming? ... the bitch) But no! When we arrived at mine I'd discovered she was crying because of certain plot points in the story (I've always been a good story teller
... and lover :-|)
She made me start on the script that very night. She even held my sex hostage until I'd written 20 pages
... the bitch.
So here I am, two years later. Much more experience, a much better writer (hopefully) and ready to tackle this beast of an idea. Interestingly, it's grown. All the time I've harboured it in my head it's gotten bigger and bigger and more and more defined... (just like my penis). I've scapped everything I had scripted, re worked my notes and am starting totally fresh.
To be honest, I owe this to my ex. A lot of it was influenced by her one way or another, so here's to you, Red. </3

Contemporary Noir/ Thriller/ Mystery
PLOT---
Nicolas Roúge is an English man. Nicolas is also a police man, astronaut, Alien, billionaire, mercenary, ninja, dinosaur hunter, butterfly collector, entomologist, cousin of the Queen, avid coco bean grower, nuclear physicist, dog walker, porno star, astrologist, mechanic, deer hunter, private detective. Most importantly, however- he is a compulsive liar.
However, when Call Girl Marilyn Honey De'lacey approaches Nicolas with a seemingly straight forward case, Nicolas is sucked into something big. Something well out of his depths. His entire mental state will be pushed to the edge as the most intriguing and dangerous case of his life unfolds.
Set against a backdrop of a large estate, similar to the Walled City of Kowloon, where drugs, violence and prostitution runs rife, Nicolas Roúge must hunt a dangerous killer.
Even the police dare not enter this estate. For only the damned live in this sunless place...

I have to admit, the premise to this intrigues me quite a bit more than Inferno did when it was first announced (no offense of course), definitely going to check this out Day 1
