I spermed when I saw it, I must admit. But I still wish Del Toro had made this. It has Jacksons now trademark gloss, landscape shots, and odd fisheye-like dramatic close-ups (check 1.14). And all that was fine for LotR. BUT, The Hobbit is a very different book. Just from the trailer alone it seems to lack the fairytale element. Del Toro is a little fantasy buff kid in a big hairy Mexican mans body. HE SHOULD HAVE MADE THIS  |
