Thought there was a Skyfall thread but I can't seem to find it. Just watched it. The film shook me to my core. Never been so emotionally invested in a Bond film. An amazing achievement.
More thoughts when I'm home on the computer...

Seeing it next Tuesday. Saw the trailer for the first time when I saw Looper this week, and it really looks special. Quantum of Solace was a let down but I get the distinct impression this won't be.
Can't wait.

I hate Quatum with a passion. Awful film. Skyfall made me cry. Then after I couldn't stop grinning. It worked on so many levels. It made a statement. It just shone like a diamond (are forever!) .

I thought it was fantastic - best movie of the entire series. Though I maintain Casino Royale was the best BOND movie of the series.
Skyfall was so much more ;D

I assume he means as a Bond movie (following traditional formulas, etc.) Casino Royale was the best.
But judging it just as a film, Skyfall was better because it had so much more to it.
Correct me if I'm wrong, Dean.

I personally thought it was a perfect Bond film. Very intelligent and self aware too. I seriously need to see it again. It worked on so many levels. It's the film of the year. I have nothing negative to say about it. For a Bond film to bring me to tears twice is quite the achievement. I actually felt patriotic lol.
