Hi all, when the forum eventually updates to Version 5 it will come with a new login feature known as a global account, meaning you log in to any and all proboards forums using the same username/password combo. When V5 rolls round you will be required to transfer your current login account to the new global account. I've been looking into this and it has apparently caused some confusion for members SO I'm posting this official guide here, which will be accessible and viewable by everyone in case you have difficulty making the transfer when it happens. support.proboards.com/post/5157650 |

Over the next week the forum will be upgrading to Proboards Version 5.
This will be a bit of a messy time whilst the forum transitions. Please have some patience - everything about this update is different, including the back-end stuff so it isn't so easy for me to fix things - I'm still learning myself. Please make constructive feedback and suggestions.
Please note I will make more colour schemes available over time too, so don't get hung up on that particular detail.
Members may also be required to create a new proboard account, which you then link to your currently existing account for this forum.

Please provide feedback and constructive feedback on things to change. Please don't comment on the colours or tell me to change the colour scheme or w/e  These will become available in time. Feel free to also use this thread as a testing ground. |

Hello again, couple of things I'd advise:
Edit your profile - signatures and avatars may need adjusting slightly.
Check your RUN threads - Proboards now automatically hides spoilers whenever the [ spoiler] tag is used. The older version was an extra code that did this, therefore any hidden spoilers previously made might have had a bit of a hard time transferring. Formatting issues are usually caused by extra tags (such as [/spoiler] or [/b]) being where they shouldn't be. If the tag isn't supposed to be there, it appears as text in the post like this --> [/b]. So just edit your post and delete the tag that's showing up.
Things I'm aware of:
Forum width is a bit tight, some things are suffering from it.
Banner. Working on a special feature for this.
That disgustingly horrible looking "related stories" ad that appears at the bottom of threads =(
Board descriptions and general appearance of the thread lists. Any suggestions to how to make these look a bit nicer?

So I love the new RU show's Banner deal, but it's like a great promotional sponsor like deal. I personally think we should have an official banner beneath it, underneath the shortcut bar (currently where the Update 60% thing is). An official banner like we had before. It'd give some kind of consistency and less confusing to new members who see the banners of our shows and be all like, "da fuck?". Thoughts?

There are five different themes now available and more are going to be added yet, but for now feel free to choose your favourite.

Fixed up the navigation bar on the top of the forum -- the links to all of the RU boards linked straight to the "Recent Changes" page, so I fixed them. Plus, I added a "Movies" section up there. I don't know why it wasn't there in the first place, our movies are pretty active just like our shows are. ;D
