Really excellent song. Never been too big a follower on The Killers, but this song has piqued my interest in their other music. Strong vocals, really cool lyrics and it all flows together so nicely. Felt like a mix of something modern with something retro, like 80's ish vibe to it. Hard to explain, but it had a lot of appeal. 10/10

YAY Page 4!!!
Anyways, OMG what a jam! Johno, I've always loved the songs you share. This is so deliciously funky. It reminds me of a tame blaxploitation groove lol. Something you'd hear in a Tarantino film. GOD IT'S SO FUNKY! Love the choral chorus. That bass loop is so erotic. That alien beat around the 2min 40 mark... So electric <3 Oooo, sudden shift at 3:45 to a acoustic vibe.
I'm gonna invest some time with this group. See, this is why I love this thread, because I discover magical music like this one. <3
I wanna strip naked and dance around my garden in the sun. Johno, I love this song. FREE LOVE! HUGS ALL AROUND.
10/10
Righteo, this is an English treasure and it upsets me deeply these guys never made it big in America. Unlike most boy bands these guys have real talent. Barlow (the lead singer in the below track) writes the lyrics and music and plays Piano. I love these guys. Guilty pleasure.
Short history- they were around in the 90's, had huge success over here, then Robbie Williams left the band for a massive solo career. The band broke up. Then a few years back the boys got back together without Robbie. Released an amazing, mature album. Then Robbie rejoined them again for another album and a tour. Loveage.
P.s their harmonies are great.

Pretty good song. Not really much to say as, to be honest, it doesn't stand out THAT much to me, but it's definitely a good song with some great harmonies.

Grrr lost everything I typed.
I liked it. Very soulful but also very current with the flux of music like this that's coming out so it sounded familiar. I liked the little bridge at 2.10. it's very catchy, great festival music. "Money Grabber". I liked it a lot.
7.5/10
Now I'm sharing---
Love and Eternal Scared Light- by Paul Simon
The dude was 68 when he wrote and recorded this. Hero. It's from his 2011 album "So Beautiful or So What?"

Okay, I made it one minute longer than that song deserved. I could literally throw a fish onto a xylophone and make better music, but I digress.

Now for the hit track of 2012:

Wanna run down the street screamin' "AAAYE SEXY LADY... OPEN CONDOM STYLE!" It's so catchy and dancey... And that video? So outrageously ridiculous. Gotta love it. Love it, love it. 10/10.
Speakin' of catchy, here's a song I recently discovered. It's been one of my weird guilty pleasures lately, not quite my genre but I've been looking for more female voices and I think she has a good voice and the song's bouncy enough. It's an odd tone considering the story behind the song (in the description of the video), but I enjoy the juxtaposition...

Yay, music thread! This wasn't really my cup of tea, I'm afraid. Although it has something, I can't stand this kind of music. It’s just so… empty. I like music that has some sort of impact, that makes me feel something, which this kinda fails to do. Still, I agree with you that it is catchy, but not my kind of tune.
5/10 You kids and your modern music nowadays. Now you listen, cause uncle Lie is gonna teach you something about real music.

Big fan of older music. Tom Waits is fantastic - and this song is no different, actually one of my favorites. There's something so deep and moving about his voice, it's like he's been through so much in his life and you can hear it. So much soul, really. Can't really explain it, but the way he carries the tune is fantastic. Lovely -- 10/10

WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE? ?? *nods nods nods nods nods nods nods* Oooo, god it's so 80's. It needs to be in Dirty Dancing or something. I love it :-| I love the presence of the violin-like 'sqiggle' in the background. POWER GUITARRRRR! I really liked that song, Johno. I love 95% of your music taste. This is why I love this thread. 8/10I'ma sharing ma home girl Madonna. From the 1992 album Erotica (which is a fucking jazz infused masterpiece). This song is best heard with earphones in because the lyrics are amazing. Madonna- Waiting

Sexy beat, and like you said, amazing lyrics. Wasn't a fan of the song at first but improved - her vocals seemed a bit lazy, or like... bored, but it was a good song. Not one of Madonna's best imo, but 7/10

What on earth...? I can't help but like the opening. Never watched the show. I like the audio samples a little too much. :-|
I didn't like the actual song that much. The lead singers voice was so mumbley. Musically it was alright. Almost 90's Brit Pop.
5/10

Beautiful rendition of such a renowned classic. It's got a lot of heart and charm to it and although I know her by name, I can't admit to being an expert in all things Eva Cassidy. It's incredibly laid-back and peaceful, even when she really hits those high notes. Quite an achievement, quite a song. DEAN SCORES IT: 9/10 Reminds me a lot of my song choice, which is:

A very interesting song - I really liked the start; very jaunty and got me right into the tune. It's very playful and gets you in the mood to dance which is always good - it's the kind of tune that I'd love to listen to after a pint or two. Has that feeling - I warm to it the more I listen to it. I'mma put it in my playlist and score it a... 8/10

Felt like a semi sequel to Bohemian Rhap at first. Just nowhere near as good. The harmonies that kicked in felt like a four piece boyband. But then the rocker element kicked in and the song kinda reminded me of Guns and Roses... Kinda. Some of those guitar licks were pretty badass. It got better, I must admit. Very turn of the decade (70's-80's). Glad the lyrics were on screen cause I couldnt get many of the vocals. Needs remastering perhaps.
It got so much better, almost catchy actually. I've heard of the song but never once heard it lol. So thanks!
7/10
I'm sharing some Passion Pit. If anyone can name me the game that used this song as a theme tune YOU GET EXTRA POINTS.
