I don't really have much to say about the song other than I really dug it a lot. It doesn't really change up too much throughout the song but I think for this it works. Feels like a song I could listen to as the sun goes down and just think.
Lovin' it.

Nice little tempo going on right there. Love the folksy guitar a lot. Great use of the drum sticks. Love the voice, very unique and different. This is what I like to hear! Something different. There's something unplaceable and foreign about it all. Reminds me a tad of Gogol Bordello. Very sweet harmony around the 2:30 mark. Would have been interesting to hear a bass harmony thrown in there. But I really liked it. Reminded me of Mumford and Sons.

I don't know what I just listened to, but I think I love it. It's so polka-esque in a weirdass way, but with more rock twinge. I never thought those genres would mix. Honestly I don't think there's too much more to comment on, but I really enjoyed it. Always enjoy seeing musicians really getting into live performances as well.

Man that opening was weird. Like they were tuning their instruments or something. I loved it. The rhythmic drum beat was great, and the guitar floating it was very ambient. I love this guys voice, but he sings from the back of the throat. The harmonies are very tight, and I love the overlapping vocals. Around the 2 mins, that guy taking the more aggressive melody whilst the main dude sings a harmony beneath him was fucking ace. 3:15, the aggression is amazing! Impassioned performance. I love it. They proper rock out after too. Good stuff. That rock guitar coming out of nowhere would give even Jimmy Page goosebumps.

T-Rex have some incredibly famous songs. I'mma play you a lesser known one that I adore.

This is driving music. I can totally see driving to this down a desert highway at night with just the lights from the car illuminating the road. I can kind of see the roots of some punk music in here as well, which might sound odd because I don't really think T. Rex is associated with Punk whatsoever, but a lot of the vocal tendencies in here make me think of punk. Perhaps it's just me. Instrumentals are tight, the wailing vocals are solid, I'm digging it.

About to get a bit circlejerky but this is a local band called Hometown Heroes. Friends of mine. Actually helping write an upcoming concept EP. Everyone check em out. They're awesome. Going on a Southwest Tour this summer and a full US tour this winter.
They're cool. Give em a listen.
EDIT: Oops gotta review the last song. Passion Pit are an amazing band, Take A Walk is no different. I love the juxtaposition of the lyrics and the tone of the music itself. Work wonderfully together.
